Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc
New Deliverance Ministries

Welcome to the Apostolic Anointing! Come ye to the water
where ye shall live and not die; because deliverance is nigh.
The Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc. is a continuation of the Great Revival that began at
Jerusalem on the Day Of Pentecost, A.D. 33 (Acts 2:1-42) and is founded upon the
foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.”
Ephesians 2:19-20  The Day of Pentecost was a  fulfillment of
-        Prophecy according to Joel 2:28; three thousand souls were added to the church (The
doors have never been shut).

The Apostolic Church of Jesus Inc is a church that has been purchased by the blood  of
Jesus Christ.  It is a church in which the word of God is preached, ordinances are
administered and the doctrine of the Oneness of God is boldly proclaimed.  We believe that
there is one Great Eternal God who is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent.  He is
known as, “God Almighty, Jehovah, Alpha and Omega, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Son and Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Jesus the Christ.”   There is One Lord, One
Faith, and One Baptism… (Ephesians 4: 4-6).  The Plan for salvation is to repent and be
baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of Sins and Ye shall receive
the gift of the Holy Ghost or the New Birth (Acts 2:38; St. John 3:3-5).  These manifestations
are emphasized as being essential to the salvation of mankind.

Followers of The Apostolic Church of Jesus Inc. are commonly called “Apostolics,”
“Jesus only believers,” or “Oneness-Pentecostals” because the importance we ascribe to
the events which occurred on the Day of Pentecost, the 50th day after the Passover, and/or
the resurrection Sunday.  It is the belief of the Apostolic Church of Jesus that it is
necessary for all believers in Christ Jesus to believe that these events took place and to
accept them as being an integral part of the foundational standard of our faith.

The Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc. was founded December 23, 1939 by Bishop Harry
Johnson in the City of Avon Park, Florida.  Our church headquarters are still located in
Avon Park, FL.  Bishop Harry Johnson’s successors were Bishop John Henry Lee 1971-1985.
Bishop James Mims 1982-1996.  Bishop Joe T. Wimes 1996-2000.  Bishop Gregory
A. Johnson 2000-2008.  We currently of the Leadership of our current Bishop, Bishop
Stanley 2008 to present.

The Apostolic Church of Jesus Teachings and Principles are based upon:
-        The Holy Bible as our foundational and governing authority.  All scripture is given by
the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto
all good works.  II Timothy 3:16-17.
-        Our Articles of Faith which is the Book of Discipline ascribed by Bishop Harry
Johnson.  The first revision by of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Executive board of Elders
on January 24, 1970.  The Second Revision by the order of the Executive Board was done
on January 18, 1997 and completed on January 20, 1997.

The Apostolic Church of Jesus Covenant.............................We, having been called out of the
world by the blessed Spirit of God, have become acquainted with the Articles of Faith and
Policy of the Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc.  We believe they are of God and have given
ourselves to become members of the same.  We do solemnly, but cheerfully, with joy and
gladness enters into a covenant with the Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc.

We will watch over one another with brotherly love and kindness.  If any of us are at fault,
or have gone astray, we will correct each other with meekness and love.

We will abstain from ungodly conversations and from any action (verbal or otherwise)
which
may bring hurt or injury to any living being, the saints of God in particular.  We will heed
and submit to the recommendations of the apostle Paul, as is written in the book of
Ephesians, chapter 4 vs. 1-3; “walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called; with all
lowliness and meekness with long suffering, forbearing one another in Love, endeavoring to
keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.”  We will bear one another’s burdens,
thereby fulfilling the law of Christ.

We will heed the exhortation recorded in I Thessalonians 5 vs. 2-14; “and we beseech you
brethren to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish
you and esteem them very highly in love for the works sake.”

We will have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness outline in Ephesians 5 vs.
11, but will keep ourselves “unspotted from the world (James 1 vs. 27).”  We will
accomplish all of these things through the power and help of God.
RESPONSE:  WE ACCEPT THE COVENANT AND its OBLIGATIONS IN THE NAME
OF JESUS.

people and train them to function as leaders.  We must develop leaders to function as able
ministers of the church covenant, in the 21st century.  We must develop entrepreneurs and
a
culture of entrepreneurship which will create and protect our community and national

he/she may utilize his/her measure of ability, talent and
gifts for the expansion and edification of both the local and the national body of The
Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc.
-        3 T’s – We believe in this local church that one must participate in weekly services
(Time); Talents must be utilized after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you (Talent);
Tithes are required by all members (10% of income).  We also believe in communion which
includes washing the saint’s feet.  As often as we do this we do show forth the Lords death
till he comes.
-        To share the gospel message with non-believers so they may come to KNOW Christ
as their Lord and Savior (Act 1:8; Mark 16:15-16).

God and His word and in their relationship with Christ (I Peter 2:1-2; II Peter 1:5-8)

The Baptism in Jesus Name

Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them I the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: …

Note the singularity of the word name – which signifies the father’s name, the son’s name,
and the Holy Ghost’s name.

In St. John 5:43 Jesus says, “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: …
Which signifies the Father’s name is Jesus because Jesus is speaking here (it’s in red).

In St. John 14:26 Jesus is speaking, he says, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things…  This proves that the
Holy Ghost is sent in the name of Jesus.

The Commandment in Matthew 28:19-20 were fulfilled by the Apostles:
Acts 2:38, Act 10:44-48; Acts 19:5
